SDG Forum Series 2024/25 Session 5

Helping Skills in Everyday Life

Forum Description:
In our daily lives, we interact with various people, including teachers, classmates, new friends, and old acquaintances. They may want to communicate with us and share aspects of their lives. However, when others are feeling down and confide in us, we might feel at a loss: Should we encourage them, help them analyze their problems, provide advice to resolve the issues, or suggest seeking professional help? In this workshop, Sarah and Harold will discuss helping skills to promote communication and help you become a better listener and supporter for those around you. Learning these skills not only fosters good interpersonal relationships but also gives you a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction in the process of helping others.
