樹的外形和白蘭近似，兩樹都屬於木蘭科含笑屬，分別是黃蘭的花黃色，白蘭花白色，黃蘭原產於中國，在香港較少栽種，夏季開花。

Both of them belonging to the family Magnoliaceae, the Yellow and White Jade Orchids look very alike.  The only difference lies in the color of flowers.  The former blooms with yellow flowers while the latter with white flowers.  The Yellow Jade Orchid is native to China, and rather rarely cultivated in Hong Kong.  It blossoms in summer.
