成鳥頭胸灰色，腹部橙色，尾羽有明顯白斑；亞成鳥全身棕色，雜以黑色細紋；叫聲為八個音節，頭四聲拉得較長，後四聲為短而急促的下降音

在樹林邊緣或開闊環境站立在枝頭上鳴叫，其餘時間較難觀察；以昆蟲作為食物
